** FEATURES: Deciduous shrub with weeping branches.
Deep maroon leaves in spring and summer turn to
crimson-red in fall.
* EXPOSURE: Prefers sun to filtered sun.
C SOIL TYPE: Prefers well-drained, moist soil.
( MATURE SIZE: Grows up to 7' tall by 8' wide.
GROWTH RATE: Slow growing.
** HARDINESS: Zone 5, -20° to -10°F (-29° to -23°C).
WATERING: Regular water use. After plant is
established, it is best to water deeply, and less
frequently.
NPR FERTILIZER: Frequent, light applications are
better than heavy doses. Apply around the
"drip line" of a plant following package
directions. The drip line is under outermost
branch tips and contains feeder roots.
PRUNING: Remove damaged or yellowing
branches. Prune to control growth.
